2011 EFAM will be here before we know it and our chapter is trying to increase our revenue to be able to afford sending a delegate.

Last year, our chapter found out about a fundraising program from Honey Baked Ham.  We were able to sell gift certificates just before the holidays and retain 20% of the total sales!  This was an easy, no overhead fundraiser.  The gift certificates were an easy sell because many people were already purchasing from HB Ham for their holiday meal anyway.

Maybe it's because we'll have a few days of high temperatures in the 60s for the first time in months, or because my husband has been teasing me since July 4 that "Summer's gone!", but I've been thinking ahead to cooler weather and many other secular things associated with the year-end.

Despite substantial pre-planning on my part, things like holiday cards and corporate gifts often end up on the exec's back burner until they're a panic situation.  This year, I've resolved to alleviate the pressure cooker and have holiday card catalogs sorted and marked, and a (long enough) "short" list of economical corporate gift ideas for upper management and close colleagues (about 25-30 people) ready for presenting on October 1.

I woke up this morning before the blackberry started chirping at me -- truly a first!

Click on the television to the International CNN station.  Drag myself into the bathroom and get that shower warmed up.

Another nice little feature about this bathroom is that it has a lighted, magnifying mirror.  Once you get over the initial shock of seeing your pores on an incredibly large scale, well, you can survive just about anything that life can toss your way.  Wait a minute.  I did say "nice little feature" didn't I.  Ok, it makes the process of putting on my make-up so much easier.
